Dear Media,

On October 18th, 2010, two time ICM award nominated artist Steve Richard will release his highly-anticipated six song EP UP TO SOMETHIN’, in conjunction with producer, Phil O’Donnell.

We look forward to setting up interviews with the Steve and providing you the opportunity to experience his unique and compelling style of country/rock, reflecting his deep faith.

Steve’s self-titled debut album caught the attention of fans and radio programmers with the single, “Everything Beautiful to Me,” the song is one of five tracks on the album co-written and produced by John Rich of Big & Rich. The album also yielded the hit “Stomp,” which was turned into a video game and “Make It Into Heaven,” which found a home on both mainstream country radio and Christian stations. Such broad exposure helped earn Richard the Best New Artist honor at the 15th annual Inspirational Country Music Award Show and nominations this year for two new 2010 award nominations.

On the Up To Somethin’ album, Steve Richard inspires listeners through a unique country/rock spin on his deep and meaningful words.  Several of the standout hit tracks include “Invisible Hand,” a poignant song about God’s sovereignty and a catchy summer tune, which is already gaining traction on Christian radio! Additionally, songs “Heaven’s Up to Something” and “I Ain’t Givin’ Up on Jesus” have already been dubbed as soulful country hits, while the picturesque “80 Acre Church,” which paints a vivid image and life story of a farmer and an outdoor cathedral, is finding fans on both mainstream and country radio.

Richard’s motivation stems from his own rediscovery of Christ, leading him back to a righteous path. He spreads what he learned from his redemption, by interweaving Christianity and his deep passion in music with his own voice. “I have a big audience to reach that needs to hear that they can change their life in a way that is really going to help them, because so many of them are often going through lots of trouble and pain and my hope is to offer them something that will help bring healing to them all,” said Steve.

I look forward to talking with you about this new release and for you to personally experience the “outward focused” vision behind Steve’s new EP, UP TO SOMETHIN’.

Kindest Regards,
