The movie will be distributed in the Christian marketplace by Thomas Nelson Publishers, Lionsgate’s exclusive distributor to the Christian market. No Greater Love is produced by Matt Green, executive produced by Russ Rice of Coram Deo Studios in association with Chris Bueno and Larry Frenzel of Carmel Entertainment (which has also been associated with leading Christian films such as Facing the Giants and Fireproof) and directed by Brad Silverman. The film is positioned as a priority release for 2010 and will launch with a nationwide marketing and promotional campaign.
“When I saw this film I knew it would be very successful in the Christian bookstore market. The film has a strong message about forgiveness, faith and marriage. Each person who watches No Greater Love tends to see themselves in one of the characters. We’re very excited to be partnering with Lionsgate to bring this film to market,” said Dan Lynch, Vice President of Family Entertainment for Thomas Nelson.
Starring Anthony Tyler Quinn (“Jeff Baker”), Danielle Bisutti (“Heather Stroud-Baker”) and Jay Underwood (“Dave Torre”), No Greater Love isa moving story of forgiveness and the irresistible grace of God. Jeff and Heather were the "lucky ones." Best friends from childhood, high school sweethearts and married by 22, they were inseparable soul mates. After the birth of their son, Heather fell into a deep depression. Hopelessly lost, she vanished. Ten years after his wife’s disappearance, Jeff’s world is dramatically rocked when Heather shockingly reappears in the most unusual place. With a score composed and performed by award winning contemporary Christian music artist Michelle Tumes, No Greater Love is a touching story about faith with appeal for everyone.
“No Greater Love is a beautiful story about the universal themes of faith, love, forgiveness and reconciliation. The subject matter of the movie is something that anyone can appreciate and relate to,” said Anne Parducci, Lionsgate Executive Vice President of Marketing & Family Entertainment. “It is just the type of faith-based title that we look for to deliver to a wider audience.”
The No Greater Love DVD contains special features that include a “making-of” featurette, deleted scenes and six video vignettes that examine the film, faith and take a closer look at the behind-the-scenes process. The DVD will also feature information for a free downloadable Bible study guide that will examine the film’s most important biblical issues including: Dealing with Despair, Purposeful Relationships, Forgiveness, Willingness to Obey, Chance and Coveting. This is ideal for small groups, conversation, or individual study.
